Doses and Mimosas

Easily one of my second favourite places in San Francisco, at least for Sunday brunch, Café Flore, located in the Castro, is a trendy, bohemian inspired restaurant that serves a kicker AM meal. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that it has been 20+ degrees all times I’ve eaten there, or if it’s because of the great company that I’m with, or if it’s the mimosa bottle-service talking, but Café Flore has yet to disappoint me. The cozy atmosphere, and gardened outside seating area make for the perfect brunch atmosphere and the reasonable prices only up the restaurants appeal.

Last time I was here I ordered the breakfast sandwich which combined a fried egg, bacon, avocado, aioli, and cheddar cheese on a toasted bun. Served with a side of house potatoes this meal hit the spot. Not to mention the mimosa bottle service that included a carafe of freshly squeezed juice and a bottle of champagne, great for sharing, and for only $25. With that being said the Croque Madame is pretty top notch as well although it comes with salad instead of house potatoes, which can quite the deal breaker for some of us. The coffee is great as well.

All in all Café Flore is one of my favourite weekend spots, and always makes the list when friends from out of town come to visit. With a sunny morning, tasty mimosas, good coffee and food, what’s not love?
